Outside a temple in Ubud. We couldn't figure out why they would put eggshells on this plant. Who knows, but it looked cool.

we have wondered too! suspect local youths did it mucking around one night after a few too many bintangs! They have been there at least since 2000 as I have pics of it too!

when I was kid I did that only to kill my time... (I was running out of idea).
But I always thought that I did it for good reason, protecting people from getting hurt by the pointy leaves. :)
